Welcome to BIA-NYC's at High Bridge Team Page
Welcome to the very first March On For Brain Injury walk across the High Bridge in New York City. This is a satellite location for the Walkway Over The Hudson in Poughkeepsie, NY.
We are walking to raise awareness for the millions of people in New York State who live with brain injury. Please join us on Saturday, August 27th for our inaugural walk. Event/Registration opens at 9:30 AM and the walk begins at 10 AM. It is 1.5 miles round trip.
We will meet this Saturday, 8/27 at 9:30 AM at the High Bridge Park Adventure Playground. Take the 1, A or C trains to 168th Street (only the A & C trains are handicap accessible). Walk downtown three blocks on Saint Nicolas Avenue to 165th Street, then make a left onto 165th Street and walk two blocks to Edgecome Avenue.
Our meeting spot is the Adventure Playground entrance at 165th Street and Edgecombe Avenue. Look for signs, Debbie and Jan! For Access-A-Ride use this address: 631 Edgecombe Avenue New York, NY 10032. We will assemble at this park entrance and walk to the High Bridge together. The roundtrip walk is 1.5 miles, most of which is along a shady paved walk way. We will assemble at this park entrance and walk to the High Bridge together.
